On Friday, July 14, the project team from Leadership Newark, Inc.’s Community Leadership Initiative gave a presentation on “Integrated Service Delivery” to the NESF staff. The goal of the training was to promote organizational change in how NESF does business. The training was designed to accomplish three objectives 1) to develop an understanding of how integrated services benefit the organization, the caseworker and the clients; 2) to identify and implement ways to promote organizational cultural change in how NESF does business – integration vs. isolation of services; 3) to discuss the importance of specific behavior and best practices as an NESF employee.
Staff members from all four of the agency’s “Quadrants of Service” participated in both the presentation and the dynamic group exercises. The culminating event was an exercise requiring the staff to work as a team to complete a puzzle within a certain time frame.
