NESF's Central Intake department offers a wide range of Emergency Services:
- NESF hosts the only 24-hour Hotline (1-800-696-7063) in Essex County.
- Our Case Management services assist those in crisis with information and referral to other services.
- Emergency Shelter placement, via referral, to available community shelters.
- Utilities Assistance for those who are at risk of having their service discontinued.
- Rental Assistance for those who need help with back rent or with their first month of rent in a new apartment.
- Relocation assistance.
- Food, Clothing & Furniture assistance.
- HIV/AIDS case management services.
- NESF hosts the FDA in taking Food Stamp applications every other Wednesday between 11am-2pm. Please call in advance to make an appointment, only seven clients per day are seen.
- NESF also facilitates applications for NJ SHARES . Clients are seen by appointment only. Please call for more information.
