NESF is the only social service agency in the state that hosts a fully licensed full service health care suite on its premises. In partnership with Newark Community Health Centers, Inc., services are available to any/all Essex County residents who would otherwise go without medical attention. Clients can receive primary medical care, pediatric services, nutritional counseling and OB/GYN services. Referrals for mental health services and dental care are also available.
In addition to these services, NESF, in collaboration with the NJ Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired and New Eyes for the Needy offers free eye screenings on the 3rd & 4th Wednesday of each month. A maximum of 32 clients will be seen each day on a first come first serve basis. Sign up starts at 11:30am.
