Mr. Michael Doby began the SAIF (Supportive Assistance for Individuals and Families) program in August of 2017. When he first entered the program, he discussed his desire to obtain his CDL license so that he could begin a new career as a truck driver. As Mr. Doby had previously worked in warehouses and had some driving experience, it was thought that he could achieve this goal. His ICM (Integrated Case Manager) believed Mr. Doby was serious about working as a truck driver and arranged for a driving position in New York City, NY.
However, when Mr. Doby did not show up for that assignment, his case was referred back to CWA (County Welfare Agency). After a few weeks Mr. Doby returned to the SAIF Program and was told that he needs to be surer of the career path he chooses for himself. His ICM continued to help Mr. Doby through resume building, mock interviews, and one on one sessions. Mr. Doby was then able to acquire a position with Wakefern Companies as a Warehouse Associate and has been proudly working with them from May 2018 to the present.
We, the SAIF team at NESF, are so happy for Mr. Doby’s achievements, and hope that he is successful in all his future professional pursuits.
